Fence posts are one of the best investments you can make for your home or business.
They can be a great addition to a garage or shed, and can provide a nice little accent to your existing exterior, while also making your yard more attractive.
As a bonus, they also make great patio furniture, especially in an area with little outside space, like a backyard or patio.
To make one, you’ll need a set of posts that you can cut in half to create a rectangle.
You can also make them with a bit of cork to add a little more interest.
The best part is, you can buy them for less than you’d think!
Start with a 3/4″ x 4″ (12.5 x 17.5 cm) piece of cinder block and use it to make the corner posts.
This is the top corner.
The other two sides are a piece of ¼” plywood and a piece that will hold the fence post together.
To add the second corner posts, cut a piece a few inches (1.5 centimeters) thick and cut the same length of creeper board to make another ¼-inch (2 centimeters) rectangle.
The rest of the boards are just a bit longer, and they’ll hold the posts together.
Here you can see the front and back of the fence posts.
You should have plenty of room to work with.
Here’s how you can glue them together: Place ¼”-3/4-inch-thick plywood board on a square of cedar and set it aside.
Cut ¼ to ½” (3.3 cm) strips of cudgel wood into strips that will fit between the strips.
Put the strips into the boards.
Lay ¼ -3/ 4″ strips of plywood on top of the strips of wood.
Cut each strip into 1/4″-1/2″ (5.4 mm) strips that are ¼ inch (1 cm) thick.
Make a strip with ¼, 3/ 4, and ½” strips.
Make two strips of ¾-inch wood, and then two strips with ¾, 5/8″ (16 mm) wood.
You want to make all four strips ¾ inch (3 cm), so cut all four pieces in half, so that you have two strips ¼ inches (3cm) long and one strip ¾” (2 cm) long.
Make three strips of ½-inch lumber, and make one with ² inch (6.3 mm) and one with ½” wood.
These three strips will be your fence posts, along with the strip that holds them together.
Cut the three strips with a saw to cut them in half.
Then, lay one of these strips over the other two and make the fence.
To finish, cut the ¼ strips and the ¾ strips into ¼”, ¼½” (4.4 cm) pieces, and glue them all together.
You’ll be done when the top is flat and the bottom is flat.
The finished fence is just over 4 feet (1 meter) long when finished, and is 1.5 feet (0.9 meters) wide.
The video below shows how the fence works.
It took me a while to get it to line up perfectly, but it was worth the effort.
The first few inches of the posts will have a little bit of tension because of the way the fence is constructed, but as you progress, you won’t need to worry about that.
If you need to adjust the tension, just make a few small adjustments and you’ll be all set.
Once the fence has a solid base, it’s time to add the posts themselves.
First, cut ¼”.
Cut the remaining ¼.
“Cut the ².”
Cut ²” and glue it in place.
